Luxuriate in traditional bed and bathrooms, relax by ponds and open fires, head for Bridport, Lyme Regis, the Jurassic Coast… or the pub

In our own beautiful valley, we do seriously smart B&B in our refurbished 19th-century family house. You’ll want to linger over breakfast – local bacon, our fresh hens’ eggs, homemade jams, our own tomato sauce – in the light-filled orangery with breathtaking views across rich farmland to the distant Mendips. Luxuriate in traditional bedrooms with antiques and colourful rugs on polished floors; sensors control the lighting in peerless bathrooms with heated floors. Watch for wildlife by the ponds in the large, well-kept grounds. It’s a short walk to a good pub and Dorset’s delights surround you.

Urless is a charming and handsome farmhouse which sits in a bowl, surrounded by it’s own grass and woodland, looking out over wonderful views. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, with lovely walking.

It is very close to two local excellent, traditional pubs, namely The Fox at Corscombe, and The Acorn at Evershot. It also boasts a 5 star Relais and Chateau restaurant at Summer Lodge Hotel in Evershot.

Urless is less than half an hour from the Coast, boasting proximity to Bridport, Abbotsbury and Chesil Beach.

In addition, it is an easy drive to Mark Hix’s restaurant at Lyme Regis, or to visit Portland Harbour which hosted the sailing events in the 2012 Olympics.
